In partnership with the Green Valley Project, the Pax Environmental Science Institute offers an 8-week program for high school students in Ventura County interested in exploring various environmental disciplines.

The Green Valley Project, an environmental initiative led by The C.R.E.W. in collaboration with Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, Once Upon a Watershed, Pax Environmental, and Watershed Progressive, focuses on hands-on restoration. This program empowers teens and young adults to become leaders in enhancing the biodiversity of the Ojai Valley while gaining valuable life and career perspectives.

Current projects concentrate on oak woodland restoration and the planting of pollinator habitats in key locations such as the Ojai Meadow Preserve, school campuses, along Middle Stewart Canyon Creek, and open spaces throughout the Ojai Valley.

The Pax Environmental Science Institute is a multi-weekend educational opportunity for students aged 13-17. Each session takes place outdoors in the Ojai Valley, allowing students to explore environmental topics like Birding, Marine Biology, and Botany through hands-on experiences with Pax Environmental scientists. To apply and learn more, please follow the link below. The application deadline is March 15, 2024.
